With the pirate cruiser "Jolly Jag" over the Suriname river to the once oldest synagogue in the western hemisphere. Jodensavanne, now only ruins and an old cemetery, used to be the settlement of the first Portuguese-Jewish immigrants who came to Suriname around the 17th century. Learn about this interesting historical location under the enjoyment of a delicious Surinamese meal.

Not far from the city, after a drive of approximately 1, 5 hours by car/bus, you can reach Babunhol. There you will be able to enjoy the beautiful view of the Suriname river. Other possible activities include a trip to the maroon village of “Nw. Lombe”. Most of all this is a place where you can truly enjoy nature and relax in a restful environment.
