In 1 hour and 15 minutes you are flown from Paramaribo to the airstrip of
Amatopo. After a walk of about 800 meters through the jungle you reach the banks of the Corantijn River from where you will continue your trip to Arapahu Island by boat. Tour: starting from 3/4 days

During your stay at Arapahu Island you are free determine your own itinerary for the day You can choose from the following activities:
Visit the Frederik Willem IV and the King George waterfalls;
Discover the animals of the jungle;
Fishing;
Bird watching;
Swimming in the rapids;
Hike through the rainforest;
Picnicking on 1 of the beautiful ‘beaches’;
Mountain hike;
Adventurous trips in a dug out canoe;
Visit the Petroglyphs and rock carvings. Certain activities are dependent upon the water level. Included:
Breakfast, lunch, dinner and juice or flavored drinks during these meals.
Coffee and tea are available all day long.
A well trained guide who speaks Dutch as well as English and oftentimes also originates from the Surinamese interior. Not included:
